Question Feeding raw / they're changing

I have been feeding my raw for about a week or so now. I've noticed all.the obvious changes in the diet. The softer, even glowing coats, small stools, even yard smells better, less water retention & and my dogs seem to be even smaller ....I think, you know , not filled with fillers that just make them look bulky.. I love all this. My only concern is damn are they gonna get meaner than what they are already. I mean its like after eating raw for a few day they are really acting a damn fool come feed time. I us to put my hand in boil really just to let them know who was feeding them... Lol not now. Its like now when they see me its like..hey you got any raw meat for me? Does this practice change their mentality..prey drive wise

Why would you want to stick in your hand in the bowl to let them know who's feeding them.
Let's them sit for it if you want to do something silly

Well NUTTS I DO WHAT I WANT TO DO WITH MY HOUNDS. I'm sure you do the same. Anyway my question was not about a gd food bowl. My question was are they meaner , more prey drive driven when on raw. There are a lot of question to be asked and if you can't answer them don't comment. You make yours sit... I've had aggressive ass dogs towards food. If your doing what you suppose to be doing you will eat. Last I checked , I was master and they were dogs. So if you willing to bite me or others while feeding I DON'T WANT YOUR ASS ON MY YARD PERIOD. I'm not the only 1 that feeds them...Good Day.

No i dont let them sit, I just put the bowl down and leave.

To answer your question. No, its a myth that feeding raw makes dogs more aggressive in general. Could they be more aggressive when you're trying to take their raw chicken leg, instead of their kibbles, hell yes.

Nut I got you my fault, thanks for the reply. Maybe they just enjoy the hell out of the raw. They eyes get big and they just love it. That's all... You want get a chance to take it out the mouth... But understand what your saying.. I would be mad also. No disrespect intended.

well what youre doing is reactivating their DNA by giving them raw food, you are raising their vitality aka vitals(organs)everything in the body begins to operate at higher frequency, the hounds begin to get closer to their nature because you are feeding what nature intended ,thats why youre hounds are showing you more energy than before.

I don't buy - "Feeding them what they would get in nature" stuff. Tired of hearing it really. Hell, how many dogs you know in the wild that eat yogurt, cottage cheese, wheat germ oil and crap like that??? NONE!

I know what you are saying, as I use to say it too, but let's all realize, they are eating BETTER THAN THEY WOULD IN NATURE provided a well put together RAW diet.......this is actually what is happening. Hell, wild dogs are full of fleas, ticks, worms of all sorts, they eat rotten dead shit they find and if lucky, they'll eat some rabbits ever now and then that they kill that will in turn give them f'ing tape worms.

What we are doing feeding RAW is feeding them an OPTIMAL diet.

Answer to the "making them meaner" question is NO - Not meaner. Maybe more possessive with this food in relationship to kibble, but not meaner in general.

I have 3 of the most aggressive male pups I've ever seen right now. Started them on kibble. They are now on kibble in the mornings (5am leaving time for me) and when I get home, time allows me to feed them RAW for their evening meal. ONce they get to 1x a day feedings, they will be only RAW. The kibble is all in one pan and they are all happy as hell. When I feed RAW, they take their portions to the far corners of the pen and if someone comes close they will throw down like grown bulldogs. This food is worth fighting for. Kibble sucks.

Good point No Quarter Kennels, I can see what your saying. Unless they beat me to it, I just don't allow them to eat road kill in any kinda way. Just doesn't feel right to me. But the raw diet is where its at as in fresh food. Thanks for they replies fellas.
