Well, I finally dropped "The Bulldog Bomb" on Trish ... and to be honest it didn't go so well ... but she kinda had a feeling about it in that regard. I told her I have pretty much been "out" of dogs for a long time, as far as my own activity is concerned, but I still have (and will always have) an avid interest in dogs (and in combat in general). Fortunately, although she didn't want to talk about any details, being a fan of boxing and the UFC in general, she kinda understood the gist ... and because we have a pretty big "chemistry thing" going on, all is still good to go

Since I was absent pretty much all last week having fun down in Miami, I thought I would share some photos of some of the fun times we had

Me standing next to a giant tree, totally dwarfed
    (Fairchild Botanical Gardens)

On an airboat ride with "The BeastMaster," a Native-American
Tour Guide who "tames" wild alligators with a series of calls
    (Florida Everglades)

Trish & Me near a waterfall
    (Fairchild Botanical Gardens)

    Taken on a Park Bench
    (Fairchild Botanical Gardens)

    My Beauty & My Boy
(Kickin' Back in Trish's Tropical Backyard)

It was a fun trip & I hope you enjoy

It really is ingenious, and I am pissed I didn't think of that myself

And, BTW, Evo is the dude who started this thread ... and yet there's no photo yet of his gal ... what's up with that?

Changing your name from CA Jack to Gator. All you need is a hat with a peacock feather in the side.

You always make posts that imply my motives are less than pure & altruistic ... and this really hurts my feelings.

Nice lookin’ gal Jack! Glad you both are having fun. South FL has a lot to see, you might take in the Wolfsonian museum in Miami some time –

    https://www.wolfsonian.org/

To help educate her on the bulldogs, you might see if you can get a hold of Fredric Maffei’s book “The Life of Humbug”. It is a great read about the dogs and what makes them what they are. It is very well written and I have used this book for many years to educate folks on bulldogs.

I know the author and he says he is re-working this book and will put it out in a new edition soon. The original book was excellent, he is a good writer and knows the breed well. I will post when he has the new book ready in the For sale section.

But if you can get an original copy of Humbug, have Trish read it, it’s a good book to show what these dogs are like. I had an extra copy for loaning but the last person kept it and my loaner copy of Red Tina both, so I don’t have any spares right now…
Common sense isn't so common these days.
