    We do not delete pedigrees that need correction; we simply correct them.

    Make a list of the pedigrees that are duplicates, and make a separate list of the pedigrees that need correction.

    Did you realize that you can just hit "edit" and change each duplicate into a new, different dog?

    This is preferable to a deletion.
