Jack I agree with you. Living legend El Titere!!!!! I'm a little bit biased though lol

I think anyone who's honest, and who looks at the facts, and compares them to any other dog's historical accomplishments, can do nothing but acknowledge Gr Ch Titere's accomplishments for what they are.

A living legend, no doubt about it

And the next generation is looking just as strong.

Jack I do agree which your choice of Titere; but to Triangle Gang's defense, Grip did defeat a Gr.Ch(8xw) to make GrCh. And what is even more impressive is that I hear TG is still out on the trail with him.

That is a hard call to make, and thank you for the additional info.

Still, as great as a 4xW beating an 8xW is, it does not have the same historical impact as the 2012 DOY facing the 2013 DOY ... for a Clash of the Titans in 2014 ... with both being 6xWs ... and one losing game while the other went on to win a 7th run.

As great as a 4xW beating an 8xW is, it does not have the same historical impact as the 2012 DOY facing the 2013 DOY ... for a Clash of the Titans in 2014 ... with both being 6xWs going for #7 ... and one losing game while the other goes on to win his 7th run.

The accomplishment of Grip is outstanding (winning 5, beating an 8xW) ... but the historical significance is only so-so.

The accomplishment of Titere is likewise outstanding (winning 7, beating a 6xW) ... but the historical significance of one DOY facing last year's DOY ... pushing weight ... and winning decisively to earn his 7th run, will quite likely never be repeated again.

For a magazine to have two of its 6xW/GrCh/DOYs, back-to-back, face each other for the next year to settle it ... was the story of a lifetime.

All of these dogs deserve Honorable Mention, but Titere's win has to be seen as the most historically-significant.

I do most certainly agree with your pick of Titere and the reasoning behind it.

It's nice to see a dog get his or her dues and the DOY award but I honestly think the important title the dog earned was the 7xw status. The main thing about these dogs is that they undisputedly earn all there titles i.e 1xw, 2xw, Ch, Gr Ch, POR, ROM and so on, these are the titles that really matter, the DOY title is the only one that comes down to people's actual opinion rather than the proving ground, there for in my opinion it's the absolute least important of all the above along with the BIS title.

People's opinions will always differ or be bias so those titles can always be taken with a pinch of salt and a 7xw should always be taken very seriously.
