Srry Guy i been out and not able to contribute lately as I once did. But my mother had been diagnosed with Brain cancer.. I spent every moment I could with her. with that said.. Lets get back on track with some old dogs that existed, And slipped away from our history!

Meet Champ. He was 3 when he proved to be DEAD-GAME The way he lost was beyond the owner's words a real intense BULLDOG! He proved to be dead game in 1:27 mins also a full brother to the world famous "Lady in Red"

I didn't see this earlier; very sorry to hear this news J.

My mother came out of open-heart surgery not too long ago, and just got operated on for cancer too.

Best thoughts and wishes to you and your family.

Thank you ... and my sincere condolences to you.

My dad is 87; my mom is 78.

We all know our parents have to go sometime, but we hope that they are "the exception."

The real trip is ... next in line will be us

I think we as dogmen can take death better, since we're so used to losing our favorite dogs, again and again, that we develop a thicker skin about death than most people (who don't experience loss as often as we).

Silverback was the last thing I loved that I lost. It's not the same as a parent, but similar enough so that I don't like to think about it.

It will be hard to deal with when mine go ... that is one of the reasons I moved back to CA was to be close to my folks again, while they're still here.

    Jack
