I broke them in a flash, but when we put him back in his kennel he went nuts and chewed through the air holes and was able to get his muzzle and head out of tiny hole he made in the kennel. In the process though, he scraped his face up pretty bad.
Okay, cool, I was just asking because that was a telltale sign of the beginning of immune dysfunction in Poncho, Missy, and many of the other old dogs I had (while I was still feeding kibble), was facial hair loss. The first signs of decline were hair loss on the muzzle, behind the ears, over the eyes ... as well as around their toes and feet.

Just thought I would mention that, and hopefully your better diet will reverse the process.
