I like the threads of quotes from notable dogmen.

My favorite is from the Old Mountain Man in so many words..

"The only way to tell how a dog is really bred is for the dog to win three or four matches, or produce three or four winners. There is always some 'sumbitch' in the corner that says he knows how he is really bred".

Then to bring it to more modern times I heard one guy tell another, "Your dog bit harder on facebook"..

That one should resonate.
