What is a breeding scheme? Set pattern you breed. Doesn't always has to be exact but close will get you close.

These days allot of folks talk about breeding dogs but not talk about how to breed them.
Using a breeding scheme has helped me allot over the years focus on key factors.
One breeding scheme that's current is this one.

Sorrells Uncle Bud . In his Pedigree he is line bred Sorrells Red Jerry.

I took a Sorrells dog line bred Sorrells Uncle Bud & crossed and woven it ,then Line bred bred him close to How uncle bud was to get these two Cuttin up & Day#1.

Crossfire was bred similar as Red jerry to get the end results.

Sometimes is more than just breeding to dogs you like .
It's breeding dogs as close to the dog you like was bred.

Thank you. This is something that I have some real questions about. I feel I have a plan. To get the traits I like.

I have this male. From living with him. Watching him work and how he thinks. I feel I understand him. Mentally, athletically. He’s still young.

I have this female. From working with her. I think she’s athletic. Gentle with people. She can get nippy cause she’s got a high prey drive. I feel like I know her.

I’m planning some breedings. If I can get the dogs that I want. This dog or his brother.

From my understanding he has produced well. He’s not a Michael Jordan but from what I see in my male and what rumors are about his kids is why I want him or his brother. That breeding has a inbreeding coefficient of 10% and will be 40% Hollingsworth Bull. I like the rumors about bull. Tough, durable stick to it type, that threw freakishly strong dogs that may be slow. For confirmation, weight pull, hog hunting I think this is a good base. Plus its 1/4 3/4 breeding the opposite way as my boy. More Bolio Tombstone than rbj. I know there are some high flying studs out there. I feel this is a good foundation for the traits I value as family mascots. Tough, durable, keep going, hard worker, blue collar types. If I can get access to this dog or his brother. I would take the one I liked out of the litter in due time to puma or machobear. I would stay within that part of the family most likely. Add some athlete to it. Basically linebred uncle niece focusing on bull. Then add some prime time. Stupid or not? Does this qualify as the cross within your own line?
