Yes, drugs like clavamox, cephalexin, amoxicillin, etc. are okay for pups, and yes again at the same dosage.

I would take him to the vet though, as they have have special neomycin/gentamicin eye drops/cremes, with minor anti-inflammatories, that not only will heal the eye, and protect the eye, but will stop it from burning, which will make the pup forget about it.
