I just buy the Virgin Cold Pressed organic coconut oil from my local stores as we use it for us too. I often find it on sale, and Dr. Bonners is a good brand.

That bulk oils site has some good prices and if you can use a gallon or more of it that price is excellent --

Some of the benefits owners have reported include reduced or elimination of body odor and bad breath; healthier skin and elimination of rashes, itchiness, etc.; coats becoming shiny and healthy looking; improved energy; better digestion; reduction of excess weight; relief from arthritic-like symptoms; cleared-up infections; expulsion of worms; and improved overall health.

Coconut oil when applied topically aids in the healing of cuts, bites, stings, and infections.

Just be sure to slowly add a little amount of coconut oil to their daily diet as it works as a detox so too much at once can give your dog diarrhea. The most common type of coconut oil used by pet owners is virgin coconut oil (VCO), which is the type sold for human consumption.

There are recent studies done on coconut oil and it enhances brain function too.
Dang SGC, great info. I have only been using Grizzly Alaska salmon oil with some olive oil every now and then. I need go back and research this more. I have read Jacks chapter on the oils many times but still need to go back in review. Jack uses a 3 oil mix I think. I believe salmon, wheat germ and something else maybe? So SGC, since the coconut oil is like a detoxifier how do you use it, everyday, 2 weeks on 2 off etc?
