Actually, I never use Albon in water. I use TMZ/Flagyl in combo as a first line.
I know of people who do the albon-in-water thing, so I mention it, but most puppies I've seen would rather die than drink Albon water

I do agree that Ponazuril is ultimately the best solution, as mentioned in the article, but I use it as a last resort only.

The reason is 1) the price, 2) the concentration, and 3) getting it over the counter without a prescription.
It is $222.00 for a 127-gram tube @ 15% constitution. Not only is this quite expensive, but it is way too highly-concentrated for a puppy at 15%.
You have to take 10 ml of 15% paste (which = 150mg/ml) and add 10 ml of water for a total volume of 20 ml, that which then becomes the preferred 75 mg/ml ratio for puppies.
