Other than money, my reasons for selling dogs was breed the best dogs I could.

I had an insane (arguably, literally, insane) interest in these dogs ... WHY they were so game and good (compared to other breeds) ... and I quickly realized they were NOT all equal within the breed itself ... they weren't equal in ability, in intelligence, in gameness, in percentages, etc.

And, having a huge ego, and meeting lots of dogmen, and hearing their ideas on breeding, I thought I could do a better job of breeding than most of the dumbasses I had met in these dogs ... and I did

Being of a curious nature, I always thought ahead ("I wonder how this would work with that," etc.), and so I put the key dogs I liked into the basic key breeding patterns that I learned were repeatedly and consistently successful ... and I too quickly became successful.

Throughout most of my breeding career, the desire for consistent, EXTREME gameness and percentages was my number one goal ... and, after that, I liked them to be smart ... and to fight a determined, methodical, head-controlling style ... closing the show when the time was right. And, within a few short years, my dogs pretty much did this like clockwork

Toward the very end of my breeding career, I tried to harness the finishing traits of Silverback, but it was at the tail-end of my career, and I didn't have enough bitches (or interest, quite frankly) to pursue it.

Still, even though Silverback produced nowhere near as many wins as Poncho, at this time he does have a 100% win record in the pups of his that have been shown, all of them showing good ability, and a few showing extreme gameness when they had to.
