Thankfully, I made a promise to myself before I ever made my first breeding, that I would ALWAYS breed to the dog I thought best met my needs and NEVER breed to what was simply "convenient", after researching endless pedigrees and asking "WHY wasn't such and such breeding made with this dog!?!?" and the frustration that resulted from that feeling. Most of the time, the answer was laziness or lack of preparation. I'd much sooner skip a heat than put one of my bitches through anything less than what I, personally, consider a great breeding and asset to my yard. As such, I have been VERY satisfied with every breeding I've ever made, and will start to learn the success rates of them this coming spring (!!!!).

That being said, I do regret never having bred this boy, after having him on my yard for four years -- http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/pu ... _id=311431 -- I never did own a bitch that I thought would've complimented him perfectly, so I never stuck him to anything, but I should've opened him to outside offers a long time ago instead of just enjoying him as a companion.
