How difficult can that be Frostypaws? But that still rules them out 2 periods each year. And you always have to start at least 8 weeks before the next heat. That might not be the good time for your bitch if you want to give her a little more time to rest from her last show. Or a holiday or any other reason u can think of. Not a big deal but with a male you could have decided to start one month later and with a female you have to wait untill her heat is over.
Also i find its a struggle with opponents. When yours is ready, u might find your opponent in the knot with heat. It all costs time. Beside that some(many) are rather kept or saved as brood, having or had a litter.
So thats why they are shown less. And when you are forced to run small yards with no possibilities to breed its a better choice for me to feed males.
