Interesting that Earl Tudor did not believe in putting a lot of holes in dogs either; you can either see quality in a dog or you can't.
9x out of 10, everu person I have ever rolled into, who bragged how "hard" their dogs got tested, wound up counting to 10 over their dogs ... while I almost never had to 
Also like how Earl was a big believer in head dogs as well ... in fact I have often quoted his line, "I'll take a good ear dog and whip most of these so-called 'fast-track' dogs."
