Ditto Jack, those fight crazy dogs sometimes prove to be more of a problem than they are worth. Many of the bitches of these types will not raise one pup. My best dogs were calm easy going dogs with intelligence. My Chuck dog would not hurt a puppy, young dog or grown bitch dog that approached him in a submissive manner. Yet in the show ring on a dog or bitch Chuck was was all business to the finish.

Many times, not all(exceptions to all rules), fight crazy dogs when in a tight jam. Cannot remain calm and work their way out of the situation and end up quitting. Why some old timers would quote early to start early to quit remarks. One does want a strong prey drive but without some intelligence along with it.
