He also played a part in a bill that would prevent the individual from practicing veterinary medicine. Meaning if you give a heart worm preventative it is OK because it is a preventive measure. On the other hand if your dog has worms and you correct the worm problem you are practicing veterinary medicine, which is illegal. So then all the over the counter wormer, anti-biotics, topicals, etc..etc.. would then become prescription only. I think this guy must have a veterinary relative who is struggling in their business. I can't see it ever happening but it gets talked about. I was not aware of this til I was getting the truck inspected and it was in a Horse magazine in the waiting area.
