altough I pretend to be a technical buff myself I have a question
I have old yard videos that I took in the early 90's etc in USA
rebel yard , ozzie , rep, JC , barney 5 ,yankee , pit stop etc
thing is they look awful these days on big screen tv , I dont wanna bring em to a shop as they contain weightpulling and high jumping competition and altough most people on the video are dead
I rather not spill the obvious , also my ass on some
whats the best way to get em to 6:19
what software do I use

It look pretty easy. You would need to buy a vhs to usb converter, then whatever video editing software you use.
Here's some info I found

I may have not expressed myself correct, I already got them digitized but there in 4:3 format, when I watch it on big screen everything is distorted
wonder if there is a way to bring em to 16:9
will search online

Yes, there's a way to convert the aspect ratio to widescreen 16:9, but if the old tapes were filmed in 4:3 it would be stretching the image causing distortion. Is that's what's happening, because it sounds like it is but you want the opposite?
