If you're looking for particulars, please Google, read, dig and research yourself. While in a technical sense there is no cured for babesia itself, there have been NUMEROUS dogs cure of babesia. I liken it to cancer. No cure for cancer, probably never will be, but there have been millions of folks cured of cancer. I hope this makes sense to you.

The most successful cure known so far is the one created by Dr Birkenhauer years ago. It is a combination of Mepron (Atovaquone) and Azithromycin. The original protocol was every 8 hours for 10 days. Most of us can't fit that into our life style. It was 250mg of mepron 3x a day.

There is, what I consider, a much improved protocol. It is 750mg of Atovaquone 2x a day for 7 days plus Azithromycin. I HAVE PERSONALLY USED THIS PROTOCOL WITH 100% SUCCESS. It makes tremendous sense as it's double the mepron in a shorter time frame. I saw zero side effects.

The last 2 babesia positive dogs treated here were at blood counts of 15 and 33 day 1 of treatment. After 7 days, they were at 39 and 46. 2 weeks later 42 and 49 and both negative for Babesia. We will continue to test.

I'm posting his here to help. Atovaquone, Mepron, Malarone (all same drug) are difficult to come by without a script. It's fairly inexpensive with a script but something tells me, not everyone here can conveniently take Fido to the vet for this situation.

There will be an order placed next week for a 7 day treatment of Atovaquone and Azithromycin. The treatment is as follows

Day 1-7 Atovaquone - 750mg every 12 hours
Day 1 Azithromycin - 500mg 1x today
Day 2-7 Azithromycin - 250mg every 24 hours after day 1 Azithromycin

This isn't a product that will be stocked and stored. If you want to restore your dog completely and see a completely different dog in total health, you will have to prepay, pre-order.

The treatment is $300. 2-4 week delivery
