My dog has some hair los on his ears the same way your boy does. Warm weather brings it out i noticed, i just keep the same feed and it dissapears in a few weeks. I've just started to ad more oils to his feed because were back into conditioning since the last month. It's kind of weird, cause his coat looks better than ever but his ears still suffer from the hairloss in this time of year.
Okay, cool, I was just asking because that was a telltale sign of the beginning of immune dysfunction in Poncho, Missy, and many of the other old dogs I had (while I was still feeding kibble), was facial hair loss. The first signs of decline were hair loss on the muzzle, behind the ears, over the eyes ... as well as around their toes and feet.Quote:

That is a sign of some sort of immune dysfunction. You can always tell if hair loss is an immune dysfunction (as opposed to mange/fungus), because hair loss from immune dysfunction is symmetrical about the body (e.g., over both eyes, behind both ears, on both front paws, etc.).Quote:
