s breeding was surgically performed by the vet on June 8 , 2013 . It took a nice amount of money to make this dream breeding come true . Thanks to DNA and frozen sperm , Champion Baldy is having one last litter by this 10 yr old bitch .

In the future, please use the Add Breeding link for breedings.
The advantages of doing things this way are: 1) separates breedings from dogs so the dog search feature isn't encumbered with bad data; and 2) allows you to have a "master list" for your pups.
By master list, I mean (if you add the dates of birth, both to the breeding entry as well as to each pup when born) when each pup gets entered they are automatically displayed on the breeding page. So when a customer clicks on the breeding page, he not only sees the breeding, plus a photo of it (if you add a breeding photo), but there will by hyperlinks to each pup in the litter individually as well.
For record-keeping purposes, this is an awesome feature. Imagine if people could have done this 15-20 years ago, the kinds of records we will have to date?!
Well, a year from now (5-10 years from now), you as a breeder will have visible records of your breedings. I have photographic documentation of virtually every breeding I have, plus all my pups, and eventually I am going to add this to the database. In fact, I am considering doing a tutorial on this tonight, just to show how it works.
I think once you guys see this, you will all start adding your breedings to the breeding database 8)

Not only can you see a photo of the breeding, the date of the breeding, the date of birth, plus the pedigree and statistics ... but you can also see a link to each pup produced as well, as an individual. Further, when you enter each pup, in the data center you can check a "for sale" box on every pup that is available ... which will ultimately display as a red For Sale indication on the breeding page, on each pup for whom you check that "for sale" box.
It's a pretty cool system and I think everyone will like it 8)

I would have loved to have something out of Truman. He looks just like my original Macho dog out of Mayday and Blondie. I guess the Hollingsworth Bull breeing is as close as one gets. I bet not a day goes by that you dont KICK YOURSELF IN THE ASS for not freezing semen. :)

Nostalgia-wise, Truman will always have a place in my heart, and his photo is on all of my books and products (because he was one of the best-looking dogs I have ever seen in my life). The truth is, rather than getting sperm off him, I simply wish I wouldn't have matched him, but bred him selectively, to keep the gameness and improve the ability.
But the simple fact is Poncho was by far the better dog and producer, and by a country mile, so if I was going to "collect sperm" Poncho is the dog I should have done that with.

PS: We're sabotaging Morrocco's post and probably should be discussing "other dogs" somewhere else besides his ad. I only posted a breeding I did (17 years ago) on here to show how he should be posting his own breedings :idea:
