The vet said because of the severity of her injuries it would be best to euthanize her.

One the one hand, I agree that Freebie is a Candidate for GDOY.

On the other, I think her owner(s) are candidates for Fucking Idiots of the Year (and that applies if you're the owner, because I don't care who is, my opinion is the same).

The owner/s basically put no effort into the first one, tossing her in there unconditioned. The bitch took the beating, won on gameness, and suffered a severe injury--but earned her chain spot.

Not satisfied, her owner/s (knowing she was only so-so in ability, and with a compromised limb) put her in there with a killer ... where her old injury was immediately re-broken, and with a new injury achieved, and yet that bitch STILL tried her hardest ... for over 2 hours ... and STILL won for her (undeserving) owners, showing everyone there what these dogs are all about.

And so what does the owner/s do?

On the first match, they couldn't be bothered with conditioning her.

On the second match, after their dog have them everything she had, they couldn't be bothered with spending the time/effort/money required to heal her :-q

The owner(s) is/are UTTER PIECES OF LAZY, WORTHLESS SHIT (imho) and don't deserve to own truly game dogs, as they have no gameness in them themselves.

I would have taken whatever time off work I had to, and stayed with that bitch until she made it.
Not a minute would go by where she didn't know I was in her corner too :idea:
I would have either made sure she lived, or I would have gone down trying everything I could to save her ... as she gave everything she had to win for me.

I would NEVER have intentionally killed her.
You NEVER can tell what will happen unless you TRY.
I can't even imagine failing to try for a bitch who just tried her hardest, and (literally) just gave life-and-limb for me.

Lazy, worthless fuck/s IMO.

A wanton disregard for life, effort, and heart ... indicates a lack of these things in the individual(s).

Thanks for voicing your opinion. I do disagree with most of what you voiced though. First off. Free was taken to a vet, had her bone set and placed in a cast. Her injury was fully healed before she was ever thought of being done again. Secondly you aren't a Licensed, Practicing Veterinarian so when someone needs your opinion on wether to humanely euthanize a dog suffering traumatic and life threatening injuries or to prolong unnecessary pain and agony i'll let them know where they can reach you.

From at least 50 vets over the years, who said a dog "can't have babesia" in the US ... to a "licensed, practicing vet" who had a dog right in front of him, dying of kidney failure ... the lab results in front of his face ... and who STILL rejected my statement to the owner (over the phone 600 miles away) telling her THE DOG HAS EATEN ANTI-FREEZE ...

The "licensed, practicing vet" said, NO ... and when the woman came home, her boyfriend informed her, "Oh my god, I shook off some antifreeze I spilled on the floor mat right in front of her."

So you can disagree with what I say, and follow bookworm vets who know nothing about bulldogs, again that is your right.

But the very fact you (or whomever it was) DIDN'T EVEN TRY to save that bitch makes you/them UTTER PIECES OF SHIT ... for exactly the reasons I said above.

Frail boned yes! So so in ability not at all. And not trying to save her would have been leaving her where she was. Bringing her to a vet is trying to save her. You dont know the extent of her injuries the vet did. People who Bulldog know there are some that can't be saved. Free finished strong and got to do what she loved.

Your "easy way out" decision may have been following "a vet's recommendations," but it's been my repeated and consistent experience that "vet opinions" aren't worth a whole lot, ultimately.

To me, this was way beyond "a vet" ... it was A MATTER OF PRINCIPLE: anything that tries THAT hard for me, I am trying THAT hard for it. Period. End of story.

That is just basic decency.

Gotap said earlier that Freebie was, "Humanely put down" ... as if the desire to be "humane" was his main objective :rolleyes: :confused:

Um, I think Gotap's desire to be "humane" was thrown out the window when he watched his bitch get brutalized, for 2 hours, on 2 broken legs, to make sure he didn't have to lose any money ... and then hauled what was left of her over to a vet.

The real truth is Gotap couldn't be bothered with the TIME, EFFORT, and EXPENSE that the vet told him would have to go into getting that bitch back to a healthy state again.
