All of what things considered exactly? Heavy on what, and what is your definition of heavy? Considering Boots was hardly bred, there is no great concentration of those dogs to make a breeding that would even denote being called a heavy bred Jimmy Boots dog.

Tell ya what it would be easier for me to just show you. I'll build the ped up and send ya a pm frosty

That would be the best option, DPit.
If you enter in the pedigree properly, all questions of % etc. will be easily seen and determined, especially when factoring-in half-siblings, cousins/uncles, etc.
Some dogs are "more related" than initially meets the eye, if analyzed closely.

10-4 Jack i plan to check your videos out and put it together on here :-bd

I noticed there are quite a few dogs/breedings i'd have to enter to put the ped together. I will at some point but for now i'll use a ped i seen to help illustrate my point. http://www.thepitbullbible.com/forum...p?dog_id=43920 i have a a sister to this dog and shes being bred to a dog that brings this dog http://www.thepitbullbible.com/forum...p?dog_id=43328 back up to the front. But not through the same family of rost dogs. Hope this helps frosty :-bd

Also want to say sorry to the person who entered your female if you didn't want her posted. I do apologize and will gladly delete her ped if you'd like

I don't see how that breeding really has much to do with anything Jimmy Boots.
-
Yeah its not even a quarter Jimmy Boots to that. The other thing I would look at when breeding a line is do the dogs perform like what you are breeding for, phenotype vs genotype. Then at the end of the day it's more about individual standard. Simply forget what was 30 -40 years ago and focus on now. Ped chasing over performance can kill a line or worst be a complete waste of time.
-
As to not draw this out any longer i will part with this. I agree you cant chase paper you lose in the end. You chase performance. But I wont stand here and deny the effects %'s and genetics have on dogs.
-
Percentages and genetics. I don't know what genetics you're shooting for in that breeding nor percentages. I was expecting to see something that had some noteworthy dogs down from Boots, but instead I didn't find anything of the sort. The pedigree you posted, while I'm not familiar with much in it, doesn't look like you're chasing paper OR performance.
