I have been building this dog house this week and have run into the same problem as Blak. The instructions show the base width to be 24" and to cut the front and back panels to 26" wide. If you do this there is too much overhang on the sides of the panels and it does not sit flush with the base. The panels should be cut to 24" wide to line up flush with the width of the base. The size and placement of the 2x2's works fine. It's just the width of the panels that is the problem. I had to cut the panels to 24" wide in order to attach the side boards and have everything line up.
