BDB Ch. THUMPER

Just wondering if anyone can provide any info on this dog and his achievements. Any help would be appreciated. Also any thoughts on the Eli Shadow line in general would help. Thanks

This dog's pedigree is already in the system, as Ch Bulldog Barn's Thumper. I believe some good dogs came out of that breeding. Clemmons and some of his associates believed that Zebo was a son of Boudreaux's Eli dog. So would cross well with Clemmons' Boudreaux family of dogs.

The story of Zebo being a son off Eli was probably just wishful thinking. Zebo was bred like his papers were shown. Lonzo Pratt bred some dogs back then. That were just as hard biting as any Eli bred dog. Zebo/Vindicator were descended dogs off Tudor's Dibo and Colby dogs. Was some Lightner Red Nose in them as well.

That was why the Tudor's Dibo line was so popular. These various Tudor's Dibo blood lines carried a strong male dominance trait that produced male dogs that could hurt another dog really bad and very fast, with various foul holds.

These dogs when put in top shape without pulling them too tight. Leaving some back end weight on them. Shown in cold weather are nearly impossible to beat them.

Only a very good head/nose type dog can slow them down. These dogs get into a opponent's dog's body early on. Longer it goes the weaker the other dog gets. Why Don Mayfield took on those Eli bred dogs in the middle of the summer in that Texas heat.

It was over the years that Don Mayfield lost two major fights to Lonzo Pratt dogs. The earliest was too Lonzo Pratt's Mike dog. Don was handling a dog for Leo Kinard.

I saw the Mayfield's Easy bitch show match. Easy tried to go toe to toe with a black bitch off Zebo named Ruby. That Zebo bitch dog chomped the Easy bitch right into the ground. Both dogs had tremendous abilities and conditioning. Easy did not quit but could not get on her feet to even scratch. Mayfield's Easy passed some hours later at his home. Hope that helps some.

Any good dogs that came off that cross probably were extremely rough. Sorry for my rambling. Cheers
