does this hold true because i have seen a pitbull with a spot or 2 didnt know what to say about it i was shocked

I do know some of the alligator dogs have a black spot on the tongue, but I would definetly call it black.

I don't know who told you that "all purebred dogs have purple spots," but none of my dogs has any spots on their tongues, and they're cleaner-bred than most.
Have never heard that saying but i do know that the Chow Chow produces charchteristics of purple tongue's, but besides that i have know knowledge of pure breds having purple tongues
ChowChows are the only dogs I ever heard of having purple tongues
well i should have said black spots on the tongue i saw this but the dog was all bulldogg i guess lol
no bulldogs i ever had have any color on thier tounge than pink or red lol if you got dogs or sum one does with spots on the dogs tounge be weary jmho!
No bulldog I ever saw or bred had purple spots, and thats since 1988
I had a dog from Jerry Clemmons that had 2 black spots on his tongue. Heavy inbred Six Bits (Boze blood). Real good dog. Clemmons told me that he actually had customers that wanted the ones with the black spots. Where the trait comes from, I have no idea.
