Anemia, due to kidney faliure.

Any ideas on how to increase the red cell count in a dog in stage 4 kidney failure? Currently on K/D diet, sub-Q fluids everyother day. Eating well, drinking like a horse(pissing like one too), bun now down to 56 was 144(high normal is 27). Starting on large doses of Omega 3's. Anyone used Redcell in dogs? He is 10, past history of bladder stones at 18mo. On U/D until last Dec.

IMO AND I AM NOT A VET. BUT I HAVE USED DISTILLED WATER AND QUALITY FOOD. NO phosphorus

I would think with stage 4 kidney failure, there's probably not much you can do as the kidney's are damaged pretty badly. Maybe something like Procrit might help, but that would be very high in cost.
