The transition back

Ok so you have hound that you just showed. He has been in the house for the past few days after to be taken care of and so on. My question is after the hounds is up and together how do you go about putting him back on his chain set up? He has been in a nice warm house the past three days and it like 30 degrees out side. Do you start taking him out for a few hours to readjust? Or do you just snap him or her back out when your ready? In the past I just put them back on the chain after their better. The reason I ask now is because I was BLESSED with some high caliber hounds that I want to make it as less stressful for them as possible. Thanks scary

Good warm house full of straw if no open wounds should be fine.
