Every single oldtimer I have ever met in my life calls their dogs bulldogs. (Not "pit bulls," not "pits," and most definitely not "hounds.") They call them bulldogs.

The term "hounds" is a fairly-recent internet term that, like I said, is being used by many part-time, wanna-be dogmen.

As far as I am concerned, they're bulldogs.

I see I need to clarify everything for you. First, it was to point out that bulldogs are not hounds. This isn't an opinion, it is a fact.

Now you're saying it is ignorant to be disrespectful, so let me help you think accurately once more:

Ignorance = ignorance (being wrong and not knowing any better)

I live in a area where thier is not a lot of jobs so their are a lot of thieves and murderers. Interesting. But that is Germany, and you're talking a title. Also, I believe the German word "hund" is more akin to our word, DOG, and is not referring to the "specific kind" of dog, Hound.
